Build a Working Prototype in One Afternoon
Event
information
AI has changed who gets to build. Our hackathon at Level39, Canary Wharf put that to the test — participants used the latest AI coding tools to build working prototypes in a single afternoon, solo or with a team. No prior coding experience required.
Judged by Tom Hulse (AI Lead, Shell Trading and Supply) and Daniel Brockwell (Portfolio Manager, Nickel Digital Asset Management), with expert mentors from Applied Blockchain on hand throughout.
The format
- Kick off — intros, team formation, pick your problem
- Build — 4 hours, heads down, mentors available throughout
- Demo & judging — present what you made, compete for the £1,000 prize pool
Participants built prototypes spanning agentic payments, automated trading strategies, business process automation, privacy-preserving data tools and more.
What participants walked away with
- A working AI-powered prototype they built themselves
- Hands-on experience with the latest AI coding tools
- Practical instincts for AI-assisted building they can apply immediately
Hosted by Applied Blockchain, building enterprise-grade systems since 2015.
